about our database: ub science, technology transfer and economic outreach (STOR) database our database strives to allow employees of the university at buffalo technology incubator to better organize and retrieve company information through the use of one centralized system. our database allows us to foster an environment that encourages technology-based startups to grow and become independent, thriving companies, and allows us to effectively and efficiently assist with the business aspects of these companies to ensure their survival and growth during their vulnerable initial stages. to best assist our companies it is important that we keep track of all of their company information, employee information, lease/space information and information regarding their activity within startup competitions and activites in the region. This information is all stored within the tables of the database. In addition, the work orders table consists of work order requests made by the residents of the building. The forms in our database provide a user-friendly way of inputting information so that incubator employees and student assistants can add new companies, edit company information, request work orders, add employees and keep track of competitions going on. These forms also allow employees to go back and search through records to find specific information to assist companies. the forms provide quick access for student assistants and reports will present information for incubator managers in a clear, consise way that will ultimately benefit the incubator residents.
